It's fun!....It's inspiring!....It makes a world of difference to young people.
For young people in search of role models, our volunteers are an important source of inspiration. These committed individuals make economic concepts relevant, fuel the entrepreneurial spirit, and challenge the students to excel. They serve as role models to help young people better understand economic concepts in order to become successful in the workplace and in life. JA enhances their experience by taking the complexities out of volunteering: we provide the training, materials and support to make your experience fun, meaningful and easy to fit into your busy life.
Thanks to the commitment of our volunteers, Junior Achievement of Prince Edward Island has been able to reach more students and provide more program diversity. Annually, we reach between 3,000 and 4,000 PEI students in communities all across the province and we depend on approximately 200 volunteers to do so. Spend as little as 4 hours in a classroom and make a world of difference to young people.
